- Exam 2 has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 1
- The exam will cover material from Chapters 4-6 of the
text the storytelling material including the videos we watched, as well
as the material introduced in assignments A1-A13. In
this exam, you will be required to be able to use MovieMaker to add
credits and to post to youtube.
- As with the first exam, the second exam structure will be
in two parts.
- Part I will be a written portion covering terminology and
the kinds of short answers that you see at the end of each chapter.
The questions will be a mixture of assement types possibly
fill-in-the-blanks, matching, short-answer, etc. You will not be
allowed to use books, notes or computer for Part I. You will
have to submit Part I before beginning Part II.
- A good way to study for Part I would be to re-read the
following sections at the end of Chapters 4,-6: Summary, Important
concepts in this chapter, Programming terms, Animation terms, and
Questions, and also to read scan through the assigment webpages.
In addtion, I would look over the terminology on storytelling
which is summarized in the project description because you may be asked
to identify components of a story including the components of the plot.
- As before, Part II will be open book. You may create a
storyboard and animation using the ideas we have learned. On Part II of
the exam, you will be allowed to use: paper, pen, or pencil,
your notes, your text, the Alice Program. Internet access is
restricted to submission to Moodle and the use of any other software,
communication programs or other web pages will be
considered academic dishonesty and will be treated as such, so
wireless must be disabled during the exam until submission.
You will not be allowed to share notes or texts.
- A good way to study for Part II would be to look through
the assignments and try to get more practice with anything that you
don't quite remember well enough.
- Obviously, you must again bring your laptop for the exam.
