Assignment A1 on Storytelling and Animation
After reading the following two articles:Your objective will be to write a "thought-piece" style of essay of 1-2 double-spaced pages which offers your opinions on how animation can be an appropriate media for storytelling.
A thought-piece of essay is basically an opinion piece. However, a good though-piece essay will have a main clearly stated thesis and will be structured to give good explanatory reasons for your thoughts. One good essay structure is to begin with an introductory paragraph which introduces your main thesis. This can be followed by two or three paragraphs which each support a component of the main thesis. Finally, a concluding paragraph can be used to tie your ideas together and to strengthen the thesis.
In this thought-piece, you are not required to have any external sources. However, every time you use ideas which are not your own,regardless of whether you directy quote or paraphrase, you must cite them appropriately using any recognized consistent citation style. When you are finished, save the file as YourUserName-A1. (Eg. Mine would be called pearcej-A1 because my Berea username is pearcej.) Bring it to our next class and I will show you how to submit the file to the appropriate location in Moodle.
