Topics covered include introduction to computers and computing, program development, FORTRAN programming language syntax, and elementary numerical methods for scientists and engineers. Required Text: FORTRAN 77 for Engineers and Scientists, Fourth Edition, Larry Nyhoff and Sanford Leestma, Prentice Hall, 1996.
