The
two service outreach experiences in the course in which we introduce
robots to children in our wider community by doing robotic demos at
Berea's Madison County Public Library, which is in walking distance
from the College. These outreach events are likely to take place on:
- Tuesday, December 3rd 3:30-4:30
- Saturday, December 7th 1:30-2:30
The children will range from children to pre-teenagers, and the focus will be on showing how humans can create anthropomorphic behavior in robots. This assignment is designed to get you reflecting more broadly on the labs we have completed and which aspects of the labs might be most interesting to these young people.
- For each of the our labs: look again at the lab assignment. Then for each of these labs, write 1-2 sentences on what you think the most interesting part of each of these labs would be to a child or pre-teenager interested in robots. Be sure to label each of these with the lab number.
- For each of these labs, brainstorm do-able changes you think might make the lab even more
interesting to young people.
