The textbook discusses the "state"
of a robot and also "state
space." In 1-2 paragraphs, describe these concepts and how
they relate to the embodiment of the robot in your own words as if
you were describing them to another college student who is not
taking this course.
- In your own words, briefly describe what is meant by the
terms:observable, partially observable and hidden as they relate to
state. Then describe information in your own life which is
observable,partially observable and hidden as they relate to your own state.
- In your own words, briefly compare and contrast the terms: effectors and actuators.
- Go to youtube or any other video hosting service and search on RCX, in order to find and watch at least five videos which involve the RCX robotic platform. List the RCX URLs watched in your report along with a one sentence description of each of the five videos.
- After watching these videos, choose what you consider the most interesting of these RCX videos and write a paragraph explaining in detail what makes it interesting to you. In a second paragraph, describe the sensors and actuators used with this RCX configuration. Finally, in a third paragraph fully describe at least one state of the robot's state space and the programming which you believe must have been used for this configuration. List the RCX URL for this video again in your report.
