BIBLIOGRAPHY EVALUATION CHECKLIST
CRITERIA FOR CHARACTERISTICS
Appropriate number of sources:
1: Insufficient number of sources cited.

5: Number of sources cited reflects careful and thorough research.
Appropriate form of citations:
1: No bibliography.
2: Inconsistent or unacceptable format, incomplete information.
3: Inconsistent format, complete information or consistent format, incomplete information.
4: Unacceptable consistent format, complete information.
5: Acceptable, consistent format, complete information.
Integration of sources:
1: Cited sources are used in sequence and are not re-cited. The citing is largely to document source of quotation.
2: One or more souces are cited several places in the paper. There appears to be an overuse of quotations.

4: Sources are each cited several times. An attempt has been made to integrate ideas from several sources.
5: Most sources are cited several times to integrate ideas from a variety of works into the flow of ideas presented in the paper.
Appropriate currency of sources:
1: Material cited clearly out of date.

3: Items cited are a reflection of the topic as currently understood without being the most recent material.
