Individual Preference Survey on PREOP


Preference Survey

Open MicroSoft Word and create a file named: yourusername-L18.  In this file, please answer the following questions.  
Note that several of these request both a numeric and an open written response:
  1. Your B-Number: 
    • What is your B-number? (To be used for analysis of the survey results.)

  2. Programming Environment: 
    • On a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), respond to the following assertion:  I  found the programming environment in PREOP to be more intuitive than RoboLab.
    • Wrtite a one paragraph explanation of why you chose the rating you did.

  3. Simulation Environment: 
    • On a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), respond to the following assertion:  I  found the simulation environment in PREOP to be useful to developing my program.
    • Wrtite a one paragraph explanation of why you chose the rating you did.

  4. Flow of Control: 
    • On a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), respond to the following assertion:  I  found the flow-of-control (which gives the order of operations)  in PREOP to be more intuitive than wiring in RoboLab
    • Wrtite a one paragraph explanation of why you chose the rating you did.

  5. Object-Based Programming: 
    • On a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), respond to the following assertion:  PREOP has helped me to better understand what an "object" is in programming.
    • Wrtite a one paragraph explanation of why you chose the rating you did.

  6. Compare and Contrast: RoboLab and PREOP:  
    • Write two paragraphs discussing the main similarities and differences you identified in these two languages.

  7. Comments and Suggestions:
    • Write a paragraph that summarizes your personal reaction to the the PREOP simulation environment and to this lab. 

    Answers should be saved as yourusername-L18 and uploaded to Moodle along with the other lab components.
