Course Description: Algorithm development and principles of computer programming using FORTRAN. Topics covered include introduction to computers and computing, program development, FORTRAN programming language syntax, and elementary numerical methods for scientists and engineers.

Required Text: FORTRAN 77 for Engineers and Scientists, Fourth Edition, Larry Nyhoff and Sanford Leestma, Prentice Hall, 1996.
