Edit the videos we worked with last time

Objectives

We have videos of each of the "spark plugs" which are each too long to be useful.  We would like to edit each into segments which are 2-6 minutes or so in length.

Choose one of the following videos which you watched last time:
If you don't still have a copy of these, please RIGHT CLICK on these links to download the files.  They are not so large as to be problematic unless you try to view them without downloading.  (Clicking the links singly will NOT work, so be sure to RIGHT-CLICK and download.)

Today's in-class work will require two products which will all be placed in a folder named yourusername-PA10 before uploading to Moodle:
  1. Create a new folder called yourusername-PA10.
  2. Create a word document named yourusername-PA10.doc.  Brushy Fork would like their digital materials to evoke the following:
Accessible, Current, Dynamic, Engaging, Interactive, Responsive, Credible, Friendly but professional, Non-partisan, Progressive but respectful of all views, Neither utopian nor dystopian in our view of the region, and a Place to find answers and solutions.
In your video edits, you must be sure to introduce the speaker appropriately, to add an approriate title screem, good transitions, a screen with credits (you are editor) and other niceties.  However, the way you edit these videos and the choices of backgrounds, transitions, and titles, etc, should be consistent and should bear Brushy Fork's image in mind.
Thus, inside the Word document, address the following:
    1. Explain your choice of opening title credits.  Why did you choose to do what you did and how does it fit into Brushy Fork's desired image?
    2. Explain your choice of opening introduction of the speaker. Why did you choose to do what you did and how does it fit into Brushy Fork's desired image?
    3. Explain your choice of transistions. Why did you choose to do what you did and how does it fit into Brushy Fork's desired image?
    4. Explain your choice of closing credits. Why did you choose to do what you did and how does it fit into Brushy Fork's desired image?
    5. Explain any other choices which might need comment. Why did you choose to do what you did and how does it fit into Brushy Fork's desired image?
    6. Describe any other edits which you would recommend making for any of these videos.
  3. Open yourusername-PA9 which you completed last time and use what you wrote there and what you decided in 2a-f to edit of one these two videos down to a resonable length while still telling the most important parts of the story.
  4. Place the Word document and your edited video into the the folder, yourusername-PA10.  Then zip this folder.
When you are finished, upload your zipped folder yourusername-PA10 to the appropriate location in Moodle.
