Create an audio podcast for one of the Sparkplugs


Objectives


This assignment will be completed INDIVIDUALLY, but please work with the Sparkplug you have been most recently assigned.

Download the appropriate audio podcast introduction:
Download the following outro which is DIFFERENT from the one for video:
You may already have the following audios:
You should already have the following music:
You should have already read the case story summary:
This is an individual project, not a group project.  Create a folder named: YourUserName-GP5

Individually, completing an audio podcast:

For each of the audio segments, you will individually use Audacity on each segment to conservatively remove white noise, stitch the appropriate TRIMMED audio intro and the TRIMMED outro with SOFT given music which starts EXACTLY with the intro or outro. 
  1. Watch the following: http://www.podtopia.net/gettingstarted/removenoise_video.shtml on how to remove white noise with Audacity.
  2. Remove white noise from each of the audio segments.
  3. Trim each segment appropriately.
  4. Add SOFT music underneath the intro and outro.  The music should begin slightly before the speaking begins, and the music should end after the speaking ends and should FADE in volume.
  5. Combine into a single long audio named YourUserName-GP5.mp3.
Important Notes:
Create a new a word document named YourUserName-GP6.doc 
  1. Open a new Word document named YourUserName-GP6.
  2. Put all your name at the top of the Word document. 
  3. Write a 1.5-2 page (double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font) reflection on what you have learned from service-learning content, namely the Brushy Fork leadership and community development content.  This essay should have an introduction, main body, and conclusion.  The best essays will be both personally reflective and specific rather than broad.  These essays will be given to Brushy Fork in addition to being graded.
Place the final edited audio podcast and the word document in the folder named YourUserName-GP6.  Zip this folder and place it in the public area of your personal Dropbox folder.  Submit a link to this zipped folder to the GP6 area of Moodle.
