Create a deliverable sound byte of one of the NEW audio pieces from the Sparkplugs

Objectives

Part A: First listen to one of the assigned edited audio tapes, tehn discuss with your team-mates, and answer the following questions in your own words in YourUserName-GP3:
  1. What is the name of the sparkplug of the audio you edited?
  2. What is the name of the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?  (It should NOT be the one you edited.)
  3. What is the position in the community of the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?
  4. What problems are being addressed in the community of the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?
  5. What changes occurred in the community of the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?
  6. How have the changes been sustained in the community of the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?
  7. What lessons can be learned from the sparkplug of the audio you listened to in class?
  8. List all the names of your discussion team-mates for Part A.
Part B: You will now be working with the same assigned Sparkplug stories which you edited last time, but the following are new versions.  Please listen to them:
Part B continued.  Do the following individually (not talking with anyone), taking notes in the Word document named YourUserName-GP3:
  1. Listen to the entire audio track again deciding on which sections shoudl be cut because they are not relevant or not understandable.  Our goal is to keep as much as possible without being irrelevant.  A long audio podcast is fine.
  2. Identify each cut you made and explain why you made it.
  3. Submit this Word document named YourUserName-GP3 to Moodle.  It will be graded as a part of your grade for this project assignment.
Part C.  Next in your group, discuss your individual documents and create a new a word document named Sparkplug-GP2.doc  This group document will be not only graded but also delivered to Peter Hille and to the Sparkplug, so please take it seriously.
  1. Open a new Word document named SparkplugName-GP3.
  2. Put all of your names at the top of the Word document.
  3. Discuss what edits should be made.  Then AS A GROUP, edit the vidoo and submit A SINGLE edited audio.
  4. Create a paragraph which reflects on why your group consider this audio segment to be appropriate.
  5. When you are finished, have one member of your group upload the Word document SparkplugName-GP3.doc to the appropriate location in Moodle and have another group member upload the edited video named SparkplugName-GP3.mp3 or to a public link in a DropBox folder which has a correct link in the Word document.  Circulate both the Word document and the video so that all members of your group has copies of both on his or her laptop.
