Assignment A6: Posting your page
This assignment must be completed individually, though
consultations are encouraged.
Your task for this individual assignment is to
write an artist's statement and to enhance your web site to the point where it is ready for
grading structure, content, and aethetics.
- The site must have at least 4 different pages.
- All page for all pages must be accomplished via an eternal style sheet and organized using multiple divs. (No
page content should exist outside of a div on any page.)
- Appropriate use of complementary colors which color each
div area, the text and all links.
- The appearance of your navigational menu should be given
special attention in the style sheet. It should be intentional and consistent.
- Content should be added to each page of your site so that every
page has coherence and substance. Pages without substantive
content will be significantly downgraded.
- Each of your pages should use the XHTML 1.0 Strict doctype
as described at http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_doctype.asp and must all continue to validate
at http://validator.w3.org/
- Post your webpage on the college server or other external server.
You will not be submitting a zipped folder. Only the posted
site will be graded. For directions about posting on Berea's server,
see http://www.berea.edu/iss/webteam/webhosting/.
Next, open a word document and save it as yourusername-A6.
- In this word document, include your name, and create an appropriate artist's statement for your website.
- Include the URL of your posted website in this document.
- In the Moodle A6 submission area, submit the word document your yourusername-A6. Do NOT upload a zipped folder with the contents of your website.
